Open Plan Family Kitchen in Muxton
This project began as three separate rooms, a kitchen, dining room, and utility. Through the thoughtful removal of two internal walls, the space was completely transformed into a bright, open-plan family hub flooded with natural light.
The new layout delivers both style and practicality, creating a seamless kitchen and dining area while maintaining a discreet utility space carefully concealed behind a pocket door.
To maximise available wall space and enhance comfort, underfloor heating was installed, providing even heat distribution and improved temperature control throughout the room.
The kitchen itself features an elegant Aldarna door in porcelain across the main cabinetry, paired with a striking marine finish on the island.
Both are beautifully complemented by a natural Bordelino oak carcass, adding warmth and texture to the design. A statement range cooker from Rangemaster ensures ample capacity for family cooking, while a Quooker hot water tap delivers instant boiling water for everyday convenience.
Practicality meets timeless design with a double Belfast sink, all crowned by luxurious Calacatta Gold quartz worktops.
Large-format floor tiles complete the space, offering a near-perfect match that enhances the kitchen’s cohesive and sophisticated finish.
Designed by Rob and expertly fitted by Matt and Mitchell, this project showcases how intelligent design and skilled craftsmanship can turn divided rooms into a welcoming, light-filled family space.
