A Luxury Ensuite Transformation in Apley, Telford
From a dated, enclosed ensuite to a luxurious boutique-hotel-inspired retreat
This incredible ensuite transformation in Apley, Telford, is a perfect example of what can be achieved when thoughtful design, bespoke furniture and expert installation come together. The original ensuite was large but dated, with a number of stud walls, boxing and awkward areas making the room feel much smaller than it actually was. Our aim was to completely rethink the space, opening it up, improving the flow and creating a luxurious bathroom that felt more like a high-end boutique hotel than a traditional home ensuite.
Opening up the space
A major part of the transformation involved removing the existing stud walls and unnecessary boxing. We also relocated the radiator and created a raised platform for the shower area.
These structural changes made a huge difference, opening up the room and allowing light to flow throughout the space. What was once a fragmented and dated ensuite is now an incredibly spacious, light and relaxing bathroom.
Bespoke furniture designed around the room
One of the key advantages of choosing QA Kitchens & Bathrooms was the ability to manufacture the furniture specifically around the room and its individual requirements.
The room presented a particular challenge beneath the basins, with the sloping area needing to be cleverly concealed. By creating extra-deep bespoke furniture, we were able to make the most of the available space while hiding the slope beneath the sinks.
The result is a sleek, substantial double-basin vanity unit with plenty of practical storage and a real wow factor. The bespoke cabinetry is beautifully complemented by the customer’s choice of a slim-edge Venetian marble worktop, adding another layer of sophistication and helping to create the luxurious, contemporary feel they wanted.

Statement shower area
The shower has become a real focal point of the room, featuring stunning Antique Paladine shower panels. The dramatic marble-effect finish creates a sense of luxury and gives the shower area the impact of a boutique hotel suite, while the large-format panels provide a clean and sophisticated finish. Combined with the elegant brass detailing, illuminated mirrors and carefully considered lighting, every element has been selected to create a calm, indulgent atmosphere.It genuinely doesn’t look like the same room.
