Modern Bathroom Transformation in Shrewsbury
This project involved transforming a completely dated, fully tiled bathroom into a beautiful modern contemporary retreat. The result is a warm, elegant space that combines natural textures, sleek fixtures, and thoughtful design to create a bathroom that feels both luxurious and practical.
The Project
The space is now defined by the stunning Lexington Maple tiles, which bring warmth and texture to the room while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. These are perfectly complemented by the Bordelino Oak sink unit, crafted by QA Kitchens and Bathrooms, adding natural tones and stylish storage to the design.
To elevate the overall look, we installed brushed brass concealed taps and shower fittings, giving the bathroom a refined and contemporary finish. A curved bath, sit-on bowl basin, and wall-hung toilet further enhance the modern feel, creating a space that is both functional and visually striking. Together, these elements transform the bathroom into the ultimate place to relax and unwind.
What We Did
The project began with a full strip-out of the existing bathroom, removing the outdated suite, fully tiled walls, and even the old bathroom carpet.
Once cleared, we prepared the space for its transformation by plastering all necessary walls and ceilings to create a clean, smooth finish. New spotlights were installed along with wiring to power an illuminated mirror, enhancing both the lighting and the ambience of the room.
Custom boxing was constructed to neatly house the concealed shower valve and taps while also creating a stylish recessed niche within the shower area, providing both practical storage and a modern design feature.
With the groundwork complete, the new fixtures and finishes were installed to bring the design together, resulting in a seamless blend of functionality, warmth, and contemporary style.
